Summer 2024 training
A successful summer leads to a successful fall.
How do we define success?
Do your best. Be your best.
Starting Week of June 10th, 2024:
Tuesdays: 7:15AM at North Park West View Shelter (see map above)
Thursdays: 7:15AM at North Hills HS/Weight Room
Saturdays: 7:30AM at North Park West View Shelter (see map above)
Definitions/Expectations:
Zone 2 Run & Long Run Standards
Sample Weekly/Monthly Plan
Zone 1: assigned as minutes vs. miles; easy running and conversation pace (keep it easy!)
LPCB: lifting, plyometrics, core, & band exercises
Strides: a low-impact way to run fast with good form
In summary, some days we run fast or we run far. On the days in-between, we run easy and recover.
Each day starts with warm-up drills and ends with static stretching.
Take care of yourself, and you'll be rewarded for it.
As distance runners, we earn what we keep in this sport. The tools to success are below, so own your experience.
Each summer practice day, we'll ask for your run info/data to make sure you're doing what's best for you.
